I quickly learned that "70" is just a number.
Here are the party planners: Left-my daughter's best friend Veronica, and right,my daughter, Shelly.
Twenty seven friends joined me for a Mediterranean dinner catered from California Skewers here in Duarte. Best food ever!
There were other special people who were not able to join us!
My daughter baked an apple strudel cake from scratch! It was beyond the best restaurant ever and cruise ship quality! Everyone was raving about it!
I don't think that she has ever baked anything from scratch in her entire life! In fact, she never bakes!
This must be a hidden talent that is no longer hidden!
The dessert table.
I seriously could not get the candles blown out! Then my granddaughter, Jaelyn, just leaned over and blew them out! What????
Jaelyn is 7 and in the first grade.
There were brown paper packages tied up with strings, lemon drops, white dresses with blue satin sashes, and edelweiss seeds ready to take home and plant!
Bright copper kettles and raindrops on beautiful yellow roses. "Sew"- a needle pulling thread....
I was able to get some pictures with my camera. But there are definitely some people missing who were at the party.
My son, Brad, and his girlfriend, Vanessa.
Darrell and Linda
Loren and Keren
Hugh and Judy
Mark and Jan
Tim and Patricia were the amazing hosts! Thank you so much!
I'll see if I can get any more pictures to add.
I enjoyed the party so much! Shelly and Veronica put together a short slide show of pictures. They loved the ones with crazy hair from my earlier days, of course!
We had 14 questions: How well do you know Sandy?
That was fun!
And then there was a lot of great sharing and just enjoying the time together!
Thank you for stopping by!
