My Tangerine Tango Scalloped Ribbon arrived yesterday and I was able to finish up the pots. Here is what they will look like.
I put Sticky Strip around the center of the rim and added the Scallop ribbon.
You can fit a gift card right onto the "love note" that pulls up out of the Petite Pocket Die!
Wow! What an amazing gift this is!!!!
Here is a close up of the ribbon.
The pot is basically 3" tall with a 3" diameter. I found this size at Orchard's Supply.
Here is how the back looked before I added a finishing touch.
Then I decided to add a finishing touch to it using the new Layered Labels set and the Apothecary Accents Framelits.

The new In-Colors for 2012-2014 are stunning!
It will be fun to see which ones are going to be our favorites!
So far I have worked with Gumball Green and Midnight Muse and LOVE them both!

There is no great mystery as to how to put this together. You're just using Fun Flowers and the Petite Pocket Bigz Dies, along with the Floral Fusion and Beautiful Butterflies Sizzlets and the Polka Dot embossing Folder. I used Tangerine Tango, and Daffodil Delight and Whisper white c/s. I used the 1/4" circle punch first and then punched over the hole with the 1/2" circle punch to create the little circle for the top of the gift card along with Daffodil Deight Seam Binding.
The stick(Skewers for shish-ka-bobs) is stuck onto the back of the petite pocket with Sticky Strip. I'm going to add some Tangerine Tango Scalloped Ribbon to this before Saturday once my order arrives .

Brad, Shelly, the kids, and I get together each year for lunch to remember Dave's birthday. Last week was busy and a little bit complicated so we didn't have a day that Brad could join us.

My husband passed away in December of 2009 from Alzheimers.
Today would have been his 68th birthday.
I am enjoying remembering his love for the Lord, and me, and his children, and so many others.
He had such a corny sense of humor but he actually told a few jokes that I thought were funny and laughed at for 34 1/2 years!
You have to understand that my husband was a HUGE UCLA fan! Here is one of his jokes that I still laugh about!
This takes place at the USC gradutation. Bubba is a student who has been having some struggles with graduating. So as he walks across the stage, the chancellor says, "Bubba, if you can spell the word DIPLOMA, you will be able to graduate".
So Bubba scratches his head and starts to spell...D...I....P...L...O...M...A...
And immediately a chant rose up fromt the USC student body, "Give him another chance! Give him another chance!"
No offense to any USC fans:)

It certainly looks real enough, doesn't it! BUT... It's just a pretty face!
Marie Leyva, took this idea from our monthly Stampin' Up! magazine and did a fabulous job recreating it.
Marie didn't put an inside to it other than white c/s, but you could easily add a gift card or simply stamp a saying. I love it!
This would be so easy to remake into your own colors to make DSP that you have on hand!

Notes: The wallet is an 11"x 4 1/4" piece of c/s folded in half. The DSP is 5"x 1 1/2".
