Some Fun from Leadership Convention in San Antonio

Well, I don't seem to be in focus, but I enjoyed getting to chat with the CEO, Shelli Gardner, at the Manger's Reception the first night of the conference.  She is so personable and friendly.

On Thursday night while the weather was warmer, a group of us took the boat tour through the River Walk.

The lights were lit and it felt like a wonderland as we floated around the 30 minute route.  There are a lot of restaurants and shops on either side of the river.  In fact....we rode right through the middle of a taping of Extreme Home Makeover!

Tye  (spelling?) and his team were there filming a Christmas Extreme Make Over 2012 show.  Ten deserving vets and their families were there.  By Christmas, they will all have new homes courtesy of this program.  The audience was on one side of the river. The vet's friends were on the other, and we floated right through the middle of the filming!!!!

On our way to the hotel, we drove past the Alamo, but I didn't have time to take the tour.  At least the RiverWalk gave us a great flavor of the San Antonio area.

I'll put in some more card ideas tomorrow.  Just had to show share some of last week's fun with you!

Great Idea for Storing the New Framelits

Last week at my down line meeting, Yoland Pasillas gave us the greatest idea for storing these little metal frames.

The original packaging has a piece of tape across the card board to stick them on to.

Yolanda cut a new piece of card board that is exactly the same size and put a magnet strip across it.  The Framelits stay on it so well!

I had these Business Card Magnets from Staples on hand.

They are 2"x 3 1/2".  So I cut 1/2" x 3 1/2" strips.  Two strips are a little more than you need for one of the pieces of card board which is only 6 1/4" long.  So just place stick the magnet to the center of the card and cut off the excess at one end.

You use the Framelits with the Big Shot.

Another trade for Valentines! I'm off for San Antonio!

She used the Label Collection of Framelits to create a very cute topper.

I decided to try out the idea with just Real Red and Whisper White so here is my version of it.

Yolanda left the back of hers just plain.  Since I didn't put words on the front, I added a layer with words to the back.  I simply added the white piece and did not polka dot it like the front.
